We are thrilled to announce the addition of Carlyn Wilder as our new Associate Curator at OZ Art NWA. Carlyn comes with more than 10 years of experience in contemporary art, culture, and arts administration across the museum and gallery field. Their eye for emerging talent and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion in the field of contemporary art makes them an exciting addition to our team.
As the Associate Curator for OZ Art NWA, Carlyn will play a pivotal role in the interpretation and communication of the of the stories of the collection. They will also be central in building upon our community partnerships and strengthening relationships with artists in the region.
Prior to joining the OZ Art NWA team, Carlyn was the Manager of Exhibitions at the Baltimore Museum of Art, where they also were a member of the Contemporary department, serving on the curatorial teams of major international exhibitions such as The Culture: Hip Hop and Contemporary Art in the 21st Century (2023-2025) and the Joan Mitchell retrospective (2022-2023). They also served as co-founder, director, and curator of Terrault Gallery, a contemporary arts space in Baltimore, Maryland, that showcased traditionally underrepresented emerging artists and artwork.
