Exciting new research published in Nature Communications is challenging our understanding of the human transcriptome! This study, led by researchers from PacBio, GeneDx, and a global consortium of genomics experts, leverages the power of HiFi sequencing to overcome short-read sequencing limitations and provide a more complete and accurate view of genetic variation for highly similar paralogous genes. Additionally, researchers utilized Paraphase which was instrumental in accurately resolving highly similar sequences, enabling the confident identification of pseudogenes even with very subtle differences from their parent genes. https://bit.ly/41zlRmJ #PacBio #HiFisequencing
