Today, indigenous communities across South America come together to honor Pachamama, acknowledging our dependence on Earth's resources and expressing gratitude for the bounty she brings us. 🌎 Through offerings and rituals, communities across South America today will reaffirm their commitment to living in harmony with the natural world. Let's embrace this day of gratitude and remind ourselves of the enduring responsibility we have to our planet for generations to come. 🌱 Thank you Televisión Pública of Argentina for capturing these rituals in the following video: https://lnkd.in/eeu_H8Up #PachamamaDay #MotherEarth #ClimateAction

🍃 Exciting news from Campeche, Mexico! 🌿 Last week, the Katab ejido became the first to sign a contract for Corredor Campeche, a Pachama Originals project. Located in the municipality with the highest deforestation rate in Mexico this year, this project will restore and conserve 10,570 hectares, including reforestation in 150 hectares, planting 6 different native species. We had the honor of joining the incredible Toroto team for this important milestone in our indigenous Free, Prior and Informed Consent process. A few highlights from the field pictured below! 🌳 Ejido members eagerly lining up to sign after a unanimous vote in favor of the project. Toroto later helped ensure all workers were formally registered with social security, giving many access to benefits for the first time. 🌳 Eleazar Abraham Beh Miss from Toroto explaining the revenue that would go directly back to the community across the unique project types. 🌳 Ejido members outlining the activities, timelines and equipment they would need for site prep and planting. 🌳 Education on our whistleblower program, empowering the community to raise any grievances. 🌳 Our planting team walking along the border of the reforestation area, with the Pachama team capturing additional drone footage to assess land suitability for project expansion. This visit encapsulates all that makes high-integrity projects successful: a deeply engaged community, rigorous measurement, and crucial funding to get the project off the ground (thank you, Mercado Libre!), without which none of this would be possible. Vamos! #Reforestation #FPIC #Pachama #Toroto #MercadoLibre

It's a fact. There simply aren't enough high-quality reforestation projects available today. So, what are climate leaders doing about it? Investing early, locking in the high-quality credits they need at a fixed price into the future. But investing at an early stage can be a challenge. We're taking those challenges head-on with a brand new pilot program, making it easier than ever for companies to make catalytic investments in nature. ✅ Low-risk: 90% pay-on-delivery, 100% credit guarantee ✅ High-impact: Proven projects, already supported by leading companies ✅ Scalable: The foundations you need to grow We only have a few pilots left.
