Pacific Produce is a well-established produce warehouse and wholesale distributor of high quality fruits and vegetables to Bay Area restaurants, caterers, museums, assisted living and non-profit organizations. Pacific Produce has tripled in size over the past several years and has just taken possession of a 50,000 square foot, state of the art facility in South San Francisco. Our mission is to offer produce that fosters the skill and creativity of Bay Area chefs so that they can delight their patrons. At the same time, we use our business expertise and backgrounds in procurement, distribution and warehouse management to optimize our customers' delivery experience. We are proud to be one of the only woman-owned produce companies in Northern California.

Developed to be smaller and thinner skinned than its ancestor the hubbard squash, red kuri squash was developed on the island of Hokkaido in the 1920s. Mildly sweet with a velvety texture, some liken red kuri squash’s flavor to chestnuts, hence its name (栗) meaning chestnut in Japanese. The exact origin of the Warren pear is unclear, but we do know that horticulturist (and founding member of the North American Fruit Explorers) Thomas Warren discovered them in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 1976. The sweet and smooth variety has since become Frog Hollow Farm’s signature pear, who describe this year’s harvest as having “tropical notes of papaya, pineapple and guava”.
