#Persistence wins.
When we started Pack a lot of people said we would fail for one big reason. "Your competitors raised more money than you - will be hard to catch up" If I had a dollar every time I heard that, I'd never have to raise again. Joking aside - It's hard to put into words how much bullshit that statement truly is. Money can solve a lot of problems but it can't solve everything. Being in a nascent market, I was (and still am) a firm believer that the only thing that actually matters is execution and iteration. Full stop. If you can put serious focus in those two areas then you can compete at the highest level - Pack is proof of this. We are one of the smallest companies (in terms of money raised) in our vertical but we're competing and we're winning. We've all heard that the best product usually never wins - you just had to be "good enough" for a long time but those days are over. The eCommerce vertical isn't slowing down, and there's no shortage of new entrants coming in daily. My point is don't sleep on product and don't worry about how much money others raise around you - just focus and execute. #startups
