This is an exciting development for not only the city of Fargo and the state of North Dakota, but for the UAS industry as a whole. This facility — the first lithium-ion battery cell plant in the upper Midwest — will set up our Badland Batteries team for long-term success as we will be able to manufacture battery cells right here in the U.S. It will also provide security to our customers that a power solution they purchase from Packet Digital will be manufactured and assembled from the very first step all the way to the final product right in North Dakota by the same dedicated team. If you’re not already following Badland Batteries, make sure to give them a follow as that’s where you’ll be able to receive every update about the battery cell plant in the months ahead.
📢 Battery Cell Plant Update 1: Today begins the first major construction milestone at our future battery cell plant in Fargo, N.D. — the first lithium-ion battery cell plant in the upper Midwest. Hammers Construction, Inc. is onsite this morning ready to begin demolition of portions of the interior so we can begin to optimize the space for what will be a state-of-the-art facility. While the construction work is only beginning, it won’t be long before we’re able to begin manufacturing lithium-ion battery cells right here in the U.S. Make sure to follow Badland Batteries so you are informed of the latest developments on our 80,000-square-foot facility and how we will be bringing high-performance lithium-ion UAS batteries to our customers in the near future. #batterytechnology #lithiumion #batteries #batterycellplant #Fargo #NorthDakota #manufacturing
