Since its launch in April 2024, USAID Sustainable Peace has mobilized civil society and informal peace institutions to carry out successful community-level actions. These efforts have helped rebuild people-to-people relationships, facilitate the peaceful return of internally displaced persons and engage youth and women, including university students, as champions of #peace and #reconciliation. Frontline jobs can take an especially big toll on workers' #mentalhealth, and global #development workers are no exception. At Pact, we support our staff, partners and volunteers so they can take care of themselves and those they serve. October 10 marks #WorldMentalHealthDay. This year, the theme chosen by the World Health Organization is "Mental Health at #Work." So, we took this as an opportunity to learn from Pact staff about how they manage their mental health, especially during a busy work day! We were beyond thrilled to hear from so many Pact members. Here are just some of their responses. Want to read more?! Head to our #linkinbio to see what others had to say! Pact is proud to support the mental health of its employees through providing benefits, resources, and opportunities that encourage healthy lifestyles in and outside of the office. We believe that in order to achieve our vision of thriving, resilient, and engaged communities, our staff need to be able to thrive as well. A thriving lifestyle starts with good mental health! #OnePact

Across our global health work, Pact prioritizes mental health as an essential component of overall well-being. We tailor our programming to each community’s unique needs. Despite the clear link of psychological well-being to overall health and well-being, mental health services have historically been overlooked and under-funded across the world. Yet they play a critical role in improving health outcomes and strengthening social and economic resilience. By investing efforts and resources in evidence-based approaches and interventions, we can ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
