Guided by the fact that literacy is essential to lifelong success, Page Ahead provides new books and develops reading activities that empower at-risk children. Page Ahead engages both children and their families to make reading together a part of everyday life. Working with partners throughout Washington State to reach under-served children, Page Ahead helps to break down barriers to achievement, build self confidence, and foster an enduring love of reading. Our goal is to be a leader in the effort to eradicate illiteracy, strengthening kids and communities alike through equal access to quality reading materials.

Great news everybody! Thanks to all of you who nominated Page Ahead Children's Literacy Program in the First Tech Federal Credit Union Season of Giving campaign. We won!! The $10,000 grant will be put to the best use possible--giving 200 students the chance to have their own home libraries. Many of the kids we serve do not have books of their own at home, so this will make such a big difference. Thank you all. And thank you First Tech Federal Credit Union!
