About us
Pajama Program is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes equitable access to healthy sleep so all children can thrive. Since 2001, Pajama Program has delivered over 7.5 million good nights for good days to children facing adversity by providing new pajamas, storybooks, and resources for caregivers. Pajama Program offers bedtime resources and sleep education nationwide, as well as through local programs in New York City, Atlanta, and metro-Detroit. To achieve its mission, Pajama Program relies on a national network of volunteers, generous donors, and partnerships with 4,000 community-based organizations across the United States, including Puerto Rico.

Check out our new blog post to find out how a recent Pajama Program workshop in the Bronx proved that children as young as 2nd grade aren’t getting enough sleep—and are suffering the physical, emotional, and academic consequences. 🥱 This is especially true for children of color. A study by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine found that Black and low-income children sleep about 30 minutes less per night than their white, higher-income peers. Our team hosted the workshop in English and Spanish for parents and students of Rafael Hernandez Dual Language Magnet School. They shared ideas and strategies for building a more restful bedtime routine. Each family also took home a storybook featuring a diverse range of characters and authors! 📚 Here’s to a world where ALL children wake up fresh and energized, ready to pursue their dreams.
