Fish for Garbage did it again! A Fantastic cleanup at Strawberry reservoir tipped the scales of the historic garbage collected over 100,000 lbs. Many camped out and enjoyed a late night together. Paleblue served up the bbq and, as always, volunteers connected, contributed, and won amazing prizes donated by all the sponsors. Great work everyone, that's how it's done!

I have opinions sometimes. Battery recycling is better than not recycling them, hypothetically. But, the reason that alkaline batteries are not recycled is in large part due to the fact that they are not economically viable for recycling (subsidizing required and that just means throwing good money after bad). The world needs batteries, no way around that it seems, so what it really needs is fewer single use batteries. 20,000 lbs of single use batteries are tossed every hour in the US, all day every day, and around 95% are incinerated or landfilled.
