Last week, we celebrated our exceptional sales teams. Their expertise and unwavering dedication drive success daily. Our Buffalo team, not able to attend this event, was going above and beyond following a recent snowstorm, ensuring our clients had what they needed to reopen after the snow cleared. Thank you for your commitment!

September 25th is Food Service Workers Day, a day to recognize, appreciate, and thank the staff that work in the food service industry. Whether they work in restaurants, coffee shops, cafes, nursing homes, hospitals, schools, and more, these employees aim to provide us with the best service possible. In the United States roughly 12 million people work in this field currently. The foodservice industry was the nation's second larges private sector employer, creating about 10% of the nation's jobs. The sector reached its peak in 2014, employing roughly 14 million people. This industry is important to our economy, and the quality of life we enjoy. Thank a Food Service Worker today for their service.

Why the Ribeye rules the protein world: 1. Marbling, the art of intricate flavor – In the heart of the beef ribeye’s dominance lies its remarkable marbling. Marbling, the fine webbing of fat that intertwines with lean muscle fibers, is a visual masterpiece that transforms into an exquisite symphony of flavor during cooking. As the steak heats up, the marbling melts, infusing the meat with rich and buttery essence. The perfect interplay of fat and lean creates a balance that makes each bite a flavor revelation. 2. Tenderness beyond compare – Tenderness is a defining trait of the bee ribeye that sets it apart in the protein hierarchy. The placement of this cut, nestled within the rib primal of the animal, lends itself to a remarkable tenderness. The muscles in this region of the animal are less worked, resulting in meat that boasts a luxurious melt-in-your-mouth quality. When cutting into the meat the knife glides effortlessly through. 3. Culinary versatility - The beef ribeye’s culinary versatility is another factor that solidifies its rule over the protein world. This cut can be prepared using a variety of cooking methods, each offering a unique experience. Grilling a ribeye over an open flame result in a charred exterior and a juicy interior, while pan-searing achieves a deliciously caramelized crust. The ribeye thickness also makes it an ideal candidate for sous-vide cooking, allowing for precise control over doneness while retaining the tenderness. 4. A cut for all occasions – Whether it is an intimate dinner for two or a celebratory feast or a casual backyard picnic, the beef ribeye rises to the occasion. Its grandeur and elegance make it a price choice for special occasions. The ribeye’s ability to be the star of both upscale dining experiences and laid-back urban gatherings cements the status as a versatile protein superstar. 5. The Joy of pairing – Pairing the beef ribeye with complementary flavors adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience., Its robust and rich profile makes it a perfect canvas for a variety of seasonings and sauces. From classic herb rubs to zesty chimichurri, the ribeye welcomes a diverse array of accompaniments that enhance its natural character. Great with a nice glass of red wine where the tannins playfully dance with the steak’s marbling. Why the Ribeye Rules the Protein World From MeatingPlace
