I'm often asked what trends I'm seeing with AI startups. Investor enthusiasm for AI startups made it really hard to see which companies were truly thriving and which were simply benefiting from inflated valuations. Over the last year, even as costs to operate AI businesses have come down, many "hot AI startups" continue to shrink as they can't find consistent sources of revenue. The root of the problem, in my opinion, is that the technology is not applied towards solving industry-specific, impactful and valuable problems. This is why I'm excited Microsoft for Startups is joining forces with NVIDIA to provide focused support for AI startups in the Health Care and Life Sciences Industries. AI is helping to solve previously unsolvable problems to make the world a healthier place. Some examples of amazing startups in our program: Pangaea Data offers a product platform that combines AI and medical guidelines to identify untreated and undertreated patients across 7,000 hard-to-diagnose conditions.   Artisight provides the Smart Hospital Platform and solutions for virtual care, quality improvement, and care coordination while providing a seamless integration into patient’s healthcare ecosystem.  Niramai Health Analytix is a Bangalore-based startup addressing critical healthcare problems through AI solutions. Using AI, its mission is to create a Universal Cancer Screening Method that can save lives.  BeeKeeperAI's mission is to protect data as a middle layer between algorithms and confidential data for hospitals. Artificial, Inc. is using AI to help scientists automate their labs. The Artificial Digital Lab Platform seamlessly connects hardware, software, and people via the Artificial Cloud, enabling real-time control, monitoring, and AI-ready data capture.  Thanks to our partners at NVIDIA including Howard Wright, Renee Y., and Jennifer Ames Hoskins for the collaboration.
