Papcup was featured in the BBC!!! Am I dreaming?! The article was the most read story in Scotland last Friday and it marked so many firsts for me as a founder. First time in the news, first time seeing myself on TV (eek!), and the first time my therapist messaged me, not to discuss childhood trauma, but to ask why on Earth was he hearing my name on the radio on his drive to work?? I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported my journey, especially the women who've shared their experiences with smear tests. A big thank you to the Venture Builder Incubator at the Bayes Centre for helping Papcup grow, and a special shoutout to Laura Bernal Vergara and Mary Hardie - thank you for all your help during the programme. I never felt more supported. Let this mark the start of a new era in cervical screening, one that puts women's right to dignified care first! (And if anyone has any tips on how to make this whole BBC thing feel normal, send them my way)
