If you missed the Upwards webinar earlier this week, checkout this roundup of 5 key takeaways with strategies for companies to support their employers at every life stage. Thank you to the Upwards team for inviting us!
Upwards' recent webinar on supporting employees at every life stage was a hit! 🎉 A huge thanks to our partners at Mellie and Parento for joining us in this discussion. We uncovered game-changing insights that are reshaping employee support: - Holistic support is crucial - today's workforce expects comprehensive benefits - Parental leave needs modernizing for both parents - Childcare is a major pain point - only 12% have employer-provided benefits - Elder care challenges are often overlooked but hugely impactful - The business case is strong - think increased retention and productivity - Surface-level solutions (like mental health apps) aren't enough - we need to address root causes The impact? Reduced turnover (up to 5x!), boosted productivity, and a serious competitive edge. If you missed it, no worries! I've summarized our top 5 takeaways on how companies are reshaping the way they think about employee support. Check out the full recap here: https://lnkd.in/eMJh2P66

Welcome Affirm Sexual and Reproductive Health to the Parento family! 🐧💛 Supporting parents starts, but doesn't end, with paid parental leave. It's so much more than that. It's being there for every stage of parenthood, it's one-on-one coaching, it's guidance and personalization. Excited to work with Ashley and the Affirm team to support their parent community ⭐️
'Enjoy your holiday!' 'I'd love to be paid to sit at home' 'You're not working on maternity leave so why should you be paid' I think maternity leave has a bit of an image problem. 🤔 The reality is often so far from people's expectations or online portrayals. That *doesn't* mean it's any less wonderful / exhilarating / beautiful / full of love. But it *does* maybe take a way from the actual labour ('scuse the pun 🤣) that goes on during this period. Other things our community added to the 'things people don't see' list: 👉 The pressure of being needed 24/7 and never having a day off 👉 Being touched out 👉 Handling competing demands for attention from an older sibling 👉 Loss of identity 👉 Managing huge physical changes 👉 Repetitive busy boredom 👉 Change of friendships 👉 Centring your whole being around your children Maternity leave is a precious time, and there are many special, lovely moments. But please don't call it a holiday 😇 Iceberg inspiration from Rachel Carrell ❤️

Only 27% of employees have access to paid parental leave, and most working mothers return to work within 2 weeks of having a child. We're making it possible for all employees to have access to employer-paid parental leave, and on-demand wrap-around support for every stage of parenting. Thank you Lee Hafner for speaking with our team and covering our platform.
Parento’s new Breasts Need Rest campaign is aimed at raising awareness for paid parental leave - something less than 30% of private employees have access to. The platform's founder and CEO Dirk Doebler and director of marketing Tiarra Hamlett explain why all employers should consider making paid parental leave - along with holistic family benefits - a part of their workplace.
