Great collaboration with a great group of individuals! The University of Texas at Arlington has been both inquisitive and open minded to understand the needs of our community and surrounding areas. Every company that expresses interested in Parker County wants to know where the workforce comes from - having a university 15 miles from our County seat is pivotal for business attraction & retention.

I am very excited about this project because it is happening out my front door. These ramps for I-20 are going to make a great impact on relieving the traffic flow at the Main St. and I-20 interchange in Weatherford. With the growth we are seeing, having additional access points to I-20 in both directions is critical. Parker County Economic Development Council

My next few posts will show the collaboration between Parker County governments, DFW regional transportation entities, TxDOT, and private companies to make transportation investments in the County to further enhance economic development and safety. The widening of Ric Williamson Memorial Highway from US-180 to I-20 is a critical investment for the community. Not only will it allow for additional traffic flow, but the improved connection to I-20 will continue to strengthen the viability of commercial and industrial development in west Weatherford.
