We are so appreciative of the City of Hagan, Georgia for supporting this exciting project and of our developer partners at The Banyan Foundation, Inc. for giving us the opportunity to get this project started with them. Now on to financing! https://lnkd.in/eRV_Rbja

This is a busy time of year for LIHTC applications, and this year is no different. We're honored to be assisting clients with eight new applications in four different states this spring, while also wrapping up two completed developments and working two more through design and closing! If you need some assistance with your project, please reach out to see how we can help!

Affordable housing in Georgia got a HUGE win last week. Its so easy to focus on the initial "cost" of tax credits such as these, but you can't ignore the economic development benefits and personal impact Georgia's robust state credit brings to real people, families, and children who benefit in the form of high-quality, safe housing that they can actually afford to live in.
Another state policy win! The bill to cut the State Low Income Housing Tax Credit failed to get a final vote! A huge thank you is due to our tireless advocate at the legislature, Elizabeth Appley, hard at work late last night in the photo below. There were many, many others who worked to educate legislators about why a cut to State Low Income Housing Tax Credits would be harmful to our state. Kudos to you whether you made a call, wrote a letter, met with a legislator, sent an action alert, participated in Housing Day at the Capitol, etc. Thank you in particular to our members who came to the Capitol in the pressure of the past few days - Maureen Freehill, Margaret Stagmeier, and John Rodriguez of Dominium.

Interesting take on local governments actually leading the development of affordable housing instead of just talking about it or actively opposing it. https://lnkd.in/eetagQdT
