#VoterEducationWeek General Elections are on November 5, 2024 and ballot drop boxes are now open across Southern California! Los Angeles County began sending out vote-by-mail ballots to all registered voters last week. Once a ballot is filled, it can be mailed back or dropped off at a ballot box around the city. Ballots must be dropped in a ballot box by Nov. 5 by 8 p.m. or mailed prior to Nov. 5. Ballots in the mail can arrive as late as Nov. 12 if postmarked before the deadline. The Cerritos Senior Center hosted their 2024 Health and Wellness fair on Friday October 4th. This event provided community members with many different resources like health screenings for blood pressure, bone density, glucose, skin cancer, brain health, and fitness level. Representing Partners in Care Foundation was Nicholas Gonzalez, the Community Linkages Specialist and Community Wellness Program Coordinator Linda Castle. They talked to attendees about Partners' Long-Term Services and Supports programs and Community Wellness workshops on falls prevention, physical activity, and chronic disease self management. Thank you to the Cerritos Senior Center for having us and it was great engaging with community members.
