LEADING THE WORLD TO A SAFER FUTURE
About us
The Partnership for Global Security (PGS) is a recognized international leader and innovator in the nuclear and transnational security policy area. It provides actionable responses to 21st century security challenges by engaging international, private sector, and multidisciplinary expert partners to assess policy needs, identify effective strategies, and drive demonstrable results. PGS is constantly evaluating how the convergence of security, technology, and economic issues influence global nuclear challenges. With 20 years of experience, PGS’ focus on strategic thinking and deep understanding of how to shape, write, and package timely, authoritative, and actionable policy proposals for busy policymakers has led to new international security programs and millions in funding for nuclear security. PGS has a unique perspective on the nuclear security challenge and a track record of creating broad and integrated networks and public-private partnerships to address transnational issues. PGS was originally incorporated as the Russian-American Nuclear Security Advisory Council (RANSAC) in 1997. At that time, the organization worked with the U.S. government and those in Russia and the former Soviet states to ensure the elimination of Soviet nuclear and biological stockpiles and to peacefully reemploy their weapons scientists. Since that time, the organization has broadened its focus to address critical emerging global security challenges.

"It will require tens of billions of dollars in private-public partnership to support the expansion of domestic construction and export of American reactors. At the moment, the U.S. government does not have this scale of financing available for deployment at home or abroad. And the banks are not charities." - Ken Luongo Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gcUn9dNx #nuclearenergy #nuclearpower #Kairos #Amazon #finance

"What New York Climate Week made clear is that nuclear energy now has the wind at its back, but the commitments made there may amount to just talk. Hot air can generate lift-off but what’s needed is a chain of concrete projects that can fuel the flight." - Ken Luongo Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gqCkEfHY #nuclearenergy #climateweek #climatechange #unitedstates #russia #china

"If the U.S. is really serious about achieving even a small percentage of the nuclear growth proposed in Dubai, and beating out Russia and China while doing it, it is going to need a detailed private-public technology, financing, market, and geopolitical strategy to make it a reality." - Ken Luongo Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gQ55gqjJ #nuclearenergy #russia #china #usa #COP28 #geopolitics

"The Biden administration’s commitment to expanded domestic nuclear energy and its supply chain to support clean energy, good jobs, and technological strength is a prerequisite for expanding the U.S.’ international market footprint. But the challenges of the global nuclear market are very different than those at home and the U.S. is behind Russia and potentially being outflanked by South Korea in the competition for overseas markets." - Ken Luongo Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g_v_K96X #nuclear #nuclearenergy #usa #biden #russia #southkorea #geopolitics

"As the RAND analysis clearly identifies, we are witnessing a perilous period for American competitiveness, and this extends to the global nuclear market. Decline is not inevitable, and the U.S. has the capacity to reassert its power. But, as RAND notes, if current damaging trends are left unchecked this necessary dynamism 'may not emerge'." - Ken Luongo Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gfXfinZs #nuclearenergy #nuclearsecurity #usa #russia #china #nuclearexport
