🎉 Patina Network is officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization! We are thrilled to announce that Patina Network has been granted 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status by the IRS! This is a huge milestone for our organization and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, volunteers, and supporters. 💪 This status means that donations to our organization are now tax-deductible, making it even easier for individuals and businesses to support our mission of celebrating, empowering, and educating the cause of AANHPI women. Any donations and gifts received from May 24, 2024 fall under this exemption. If you have been charitable with us since this effective date of exemption, please reach out to your contact for any tax receipts and etc. Thresholds may apply. On Jul 26, 2024, Patina Network hosted an office visit for their amazing students at the Google office! A day planned with Career panel, technical interview workshop and quality time with the aspiring SWE’s mostly based in NYC. This week, Patina Network hosted a virtual Tech Career Exploration Panel with amazing guests from different backgrounds and roles in the tech ecosystem. It was important to learn more about the different tracks and roles you can take in the tech industry for many of our interns who are interested in pursuing future roles such as SWE, UX, Data, and more. Special shoutouts to our panelists: Emily Lu, Kathy Wang, Krystal Ogun, CSM, Lauren Yoon, Vanessa Boyle, Yennie Jun. We learned so much from all of you as you shared your respective journeys into and within tech, anecdotes that shaped you personally, culturally, and professionally, insights and tips you've gained over the years, and finally support by being with us on July 4th week. Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate one of the most important milestones in American history, commemorating the emancipation of Black Americans. We want to chime into the sounds of freedom that celebrate progress, transformation and liberation. Patina Network recognizes the courage, power and strides of Black Americans in the US, a land we all call home. We hope to be good allies to our Black brothers and sisters.
