As a proud home builder, I feel I work in an industry that is one of the noblest of professions. The creation of shelter for hardworking American families to take and turn into their families home. I had the privilege of serving as President of a great association last year. One of my goals was to let the community of Kansas City know who we are and what we stand for. As Americans there are a few things I think we can all relate to and that tie us to our great nation even with the issues it faces. One of those things that has always caused a reaction in me is the playing of our National Anthem. Regardless of where I hear it, the effect is the same, a chill that comes over my body, watery eyes, and a sense of pride as well as gratitude for those that sacrificed for me to be able to live here with the freedoms and privileges we have, allowing me to live my American Dream. I experienced the very same reaction this morning to the following video for an association I love and admire.
