About us
Pawsome Pet Pal is for awesome humans who want great relationships with their pets. Founded by Jennifer Pallanich, CPDT-KSA, Pawsome Pet Pal offers virtual classes, individualized training sessions, problem-solving behavior consultations, workshops, resources and more to help people and their pets have pawsome lives together. I believe people and animals alike are always doing the best they can with what they have in any given moment. When they know better, they do better. I believe humans and their furry friends can have wonderful relationships built on trust, respect, love and the frequent supply of treats, play and other things their pets find highly valuable to encourage the behaviors they desire. I believe positive reinforcement is where it’s at. Positive reinforcement (R+) has a lot of research and evidence behind it. Studies have shown that positive reinforcement strengthens the human-animal bond (as compared to the use of aversives and punishment, which weaken it). It also builds desired behaviors faster than pain-based methods, and trained behaviors remain on cue longer even without later reinforcement.
