Helping people make better healthcare decisions by improving their ability to pay for care
About us
Paytient helps people make better healthcare decisions by improving their ability to pay for care. We do this by bundling or embedding payment solutions like Paytient's Health Payment Account (HPA) and the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan alongside commercial, individual ACA, and Medicare plans. Armed with the power to decide how and when they pay for care, our users change their behavior in ways that improve their health and lower costs for everyone, which benefits plan sponsors. By 2025, Paytient will serve 25M lives and 6,000 enterprise clients including leading employers and payers such as Anthem, Centene, Cigna, R.R. Donnelley, and Hyatt Hotels. The company has earned a 90 NPS and 4.9 stars on Trustpilot. Here on Linkedin, we share insights about what we're learning as the leader in cost smoothing solutions—exploring what it means for consumers and their insurers. We also share updates from our growing team, open positions, and a behind the scenes look at what it really takes to change healthcare for the better.

NEW STUDY: 98% of Paytient members reported less financial stress with access to our Health Payment Account giving them the confidence to get care without the worry of unexpected bills. 40% of workplace-insured Americans are delaying care due to cost but employers are recognizing the health hazard of health plans that leave care funding uncertain, and they’re embracing solutions that provide certainty of affordability. It’s not just a healthcare issue—it’s a productivity and well-being issue, too. Delayed care leads to more stress, missed workdays, and bigger health problems down the road. But as an employer, you can help change that. Want to learn how you can help your employees stress less and stay healthier? Did you know that October was the first month the 40-hour, five-day workweek was first sanctioned? On October 15, 1926, Ford Motors released a statement that would forever change how Americans work. It read: “Five working days of eight hours, with no overtime, is to constitute a week’s work for U.S. company employees. This announcement…marks the culmination of years of preparation for this noteworthy step in industrial evolution. Its significance has been approached in the industrial world only by the announcement twelve years ago of the five-dollar-a-day minimum wage.” This set the precedent for the modern work week as we know it, today. At Paytient, we understand that a healthy work-life balance is crucial for productivity and well-being. This month is a great opportunity for HR leaders and employers to show appreciation for their teams’ dedication and hard work. Whether through a simple gesture of gratitude, flexible benefits, or offering support during busy times, let’s take a moment to recognize the people who make everything possible. How are you thanking your employees this month? #EmployeeAppreciation #HRLeaders #WorkLifeBalance #FiveDayWorkweek

Today, prescription drug affordability comes to Medicare with the launch of the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan (M3P). 🥂 🎉 This historic program allows Part D beneficiaries to more easily access and afford to continue taking life-saving medication. There is no doubt it will improve the health of American seniors and those living with disabilities. Anyone with Part D coverage can opt in starting today or anytime during the plan year to pick up prescriptions for $0 starting January 1, 2025 and spread their out-of-pocket Rx costs over the plan year. We’re honored to have spent this year building alongside leading PBMs and plan sponsors to operationalize this program for 40% of Medicare beneficiaries. When anyone with Part D coverage opts in, our technology will support them behind the scenes. A huge congratulations goes out to our technology teams and their counterparts at our partners who have written thousands of lines of code and spent countless hours to reach this milestone— to Daniel Lynn, Jordan Stone, Cristina Crespo and your teams, thank you! Read the full announcement (link in first comment) to explore our thesis about what this means for older adults in America, and access shareable resources to help spread the word. #medicare #medicareprescriptionpaymentplan #healthcareinnovation
