About us

The Sisters of the Presentation, San Francisco, advocate and work for structural change in issues related to women and children; immigrants and culturally diverse communities; the environment; and human rights. Their individual and communal lives focus on promoting compassion, extending hospitality, and working for justice for the oppressed and those made poor. The Sisters are joined in their mission by lay Associates. Together, these Presentation People are engaged in ministries throughout the Bay Area, including education, parish life, community organizing, pastoral care in hospitals, literacy programs, immigration work, spiritual direction, retreat work, anti-human trafficking actions, combatting climate change, and housing management for the elderly. The Sisters of the Presentation have ministered in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1854. Please visit www.PresentationSistersSF.org to learn more about their history and current activities.
