"My advice to women thinking about a career in construction is to gain exposure to the field you are considering. Nothing beats real-world learning and seeing processes firsthand. Find a summer internship or shadow a general contractor or interior architect for a week - something that gets you out to job sites or into design environments where you can ask questions and learn. The more you immerse yourself, the more confident and prepared you’ll be.
