Day 2 of the West Virginia Chamber Business Leadership Summit featured more discussions from key leaders in West Virginia's health and education sectors. Beth "Buffy" Hammers, Chief Integration & External Affairs Officer/Vice Dean of Marshall Health Network & School of Medicine, led a discussion that highlighted the link between healthy communities and overall success. Albert Wright, President & CEO of WVU Health System and Peak Health's Board Chairman, delivered a powerful presentation on the advancements at the WVU Cancer Institute and their impact on West Virginia. The work being done at the Cancer Institute is an important step in improving healthcare in our communities, a mission that closely aligns with Peak Health's. Brad D. Smith, President of Marshall University, shared his insights on investing in education and making it more accessible for West Virginians, emphasizing the importance to expand opportunities state-wide. We also had the honor of hearing from U.S. Senator Joe Manchin III as he reflected on his service and contributions to West Virginia. We're grateful for his dedication and the positive impact he's had on our state. Thank you to the West Virginia Chamber for organizing this event. We're excited to share some highlights from today's WV Chamber Business Leadership Summit. West Virginia University, this year's host sponsor, delivered an engaging session with President Gordon Gee, joined by Tony Caridi, Sportscaster for the WVU Mountaineers discussing 'The Power of Purpose.' Additionally, Morgan O'Brian, CEO of Hope Gas, Inc. & Hope Utilities, shared insights into the company's long-standing history and commitment to West Virginia.
