  • In case you missed it! Tuesday night the crew from the Bay Crane company successfully moved a massive piece of cargo from the New Hampshire Port Authority. The heavy cargo was 270-ft long and required two trailers with 14 axles each… with 8 tires per axle! This piece had been stored at the port after its journey by sea on the cargo ship “M/V RONNIE” a few months back. The cargo required a huge amount of ballast on one side of the ship to balance the extreme weight of the cargo as it was lifted off the deck. Great work to the NH Port Authority, the NH DOT, Bay Crane, and everyone else who made this move possible!

  • We are thrilled to welcome the passengers and crew of American Cruise Lines to beautiful Portsmouth, NH! The “American Glory” cruised up the Piscataqua River earlier this morning and docked at the Port of New Hampshire with 120 passengers eager to enjoy a gorgeous sunny day in Portsmouth. American Cruise Lines offers passengers a variety of onshore excursions in Portsmouth to choose from, including tours of Strawberry Banke, Paddle Boarding, their “Local Loop” tour featuring Portsmouth Historical Society, Jimmy’s Jazz Club, and the USS Albacore, and more. The “Grand New England Cruise” departs out of Boston on a 15-day New England tour, stopping at ports along Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. The next cruise line will be on July 22, August 17, and October 2, with the October date being part of a similar but different service called the “New England Fall Foliage Cruise.” We are excited to be featured among the many beautiful destinations visited by American Cruise Lines!

  • We are proud of all the hard work our team has put in to reducing our footprint in the community. Happy Earth Day to all!

Happy Earth Day! 🌎🌱 Did you know? During the runway reconstruction project, Portsmouth International Airport removed over 7 acres of pavement on the end of the runway and replaced it with grass. The removal of this impervious pavement has created better stormwater filtration, resulting in enriched soil and better drainage into the adjacent wetlands in Newington. In addition to removing pavement to increase drainage, our team has also worked to naturally filter water that drains off the runway pavement. Located near the center of the airfield, the rainwater runs into a filter made of sand and bark mulch, effectively cleaning the water before it enters the streams and wetlands near the airport. Portsmouth International Airport and the Pease Development Authority are proud to put focus on green initiatives around the Pease Tradeport and beyond. We are continuously working to improve our environmental footprint 365 days of the year! ♻️ #FlyPSM

  • We are so proud of the men and women of the 260th Air Traffic Control Squadron for winning the 2023 D. Ray Hardin Air Traffic Control Facility of The Year award! Pease is incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated team overseeing the diverse mix of aircraft that fly out of Portsmouth International Airport at Pease (PSM). A statement from the 157th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs reads: "The 260th Air Traffic Control Squadron’s tower, located on Pease International Airport, earned the 2023 D. Ray Hardin Air Traffic Control Facility of The Year award for demonstrating superior ATC capabilities through seamless operations while ensuring safety and efficiency. The tower is one of the busiest air traffic facilities in the Air National Guard, safely managing over 63,000 operations annually. Controllers at Pease oversee an intricate mix of consistent corporate traffic, a flight school, transient military air traffic operations and the base’s KC-46. Aircraft range from small Cessna’s and RV’s to F-16, F-35, F-22, to every heavy aircraft in the Air Force, international jets and one of the world’s biggest airplanes, the Antonov An-[124]." Great work to all!
