Helping dogs in need find the loving forever homes they deserve.

About us

We see a day when all dogs are safe, secure, cared for, fed well, and loved. PEDIGREE Foundation is working to find a solution to the problem of the millions of homeless dogs in this country. Through our grant programs, we support organizations that save the lives of dogs that would otherwise be lost. The Foundation was established in 2008 by dog lovers with a passionate belief that every dog deserves a loving home. PEDIGREE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) private foundation that supports shelters and rescue organizations, as well as encouraging people to ADOPT, VOLUNTEER, and DONATE. We’re proud to have awarded almost 5,000 grants to caring, committed shelters and rescue organizations since 2008. Visit our website to learn more about our grant program and the success stories that have come from it!

The 16th annual Mars Petcare Adoption Weekend kicks off today. If you’re thinking of adopting during this event, or anytime soon, please remember to consider all available dogs, including senior pups. A recent survey of U.S. shelters showed that adult and senior pets can make great matches as they are often social with people and other dogs, potty trained, and good on a leash. And remember that by finding a compatible pet - one who shares your interests, personality and lifestyle - you can create an enduring match and change a pet's life (and yours!) for the better. The 16th annual Mars Pet Adoption Weekend is almost here, and PEDIGREE Foundation is working to ensure as many pets as possible can be placed in loving homes.  The newly released Mars Global Pet Parent Study found that 84% of dogs and cats are acquired before the age of 12 months. PEDIGREE Foundation surveyed its U.S. shelter partners and found that on average, dogs over the age of 6 months are in our shelter partners longer than puppies. In fact, senior dogs (7 years or older) stay double the length of time as puppies! Adult and senior dogs can make the perfect match as many are often social with people and other dogs, potty trained, and good on a leash. If you’re thinking of adopting during this event, or anytime soon, remember that by finding a compatible pet - one who shares your interests, personality, and lifestyle - you can create an enduring match and change a pet's life (and yours!) for the better. ❤️ Take a look a some of the adorable pups for adoption during this year’s event from Nashville Humane Association and Williamson County Animal Center! #MarsPetAdoption

We are immensely proud to support the critical work that American Humane is doing for animals affected by Hurricane Helene. The need for assistance remains high and will continue to grow. Please consider helping us support impacted shelters in North Carolina, East Tennessee and organizations like American Humane who are on the ground supporting displaced dogs. A big thank you to the PEDIGREE Foundation for their generous support of the American Humane Rescue Team throughout our deployment in southern Georgia. Because of the PEDIGREE Foundation and the generous donations of so many people across the community, we've been able to provide direct and immediate relief to animals and families impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Thank you to everyone who helped us kick off DOGtober in style at our Writers' Round - and a special thank you to all of our fabulous guests! We are so proud to say that with your support, we raised over $15,000, with all funds going directly to disaster relief grants to support shelters and rescues in areas affected by Hurricane Helene. If you missed the event, you can still help those shelters and rescues with a donation here: https://ow.ly/7Apw50TCFKR --------- Featured Artists: Grant Vogel, Jillian Cardarelli, Marcus Hummon, Jake Rose Emcee: Danielle Breezy Photos: Nick Tavares | NTP Photography

We’re excited to be participating in the 16th annual Mars Pet Adoption Weekend. This year, Mars Petcare US is working with 18 shelters across the country to cover more than $100,000 in adoption fees for families looking to welcome a new forever pet. PEDIGREE Foundation will be providing support to several of these shelters with an additional $35,000 in funding to ensure as many pets as possible can be placed in loving homes.  If you’re thinking of adopting during this event, or anytime soon, remember that by finding a compatible pet - one who shares your interests, personality and lifestyle - you can create an enduring match and change a pet's life (and yours!) for the better. ❤️ #MarsPetAdoption

Today's Adoption Tail is gorgeous Zowey! She came to Kitsap Humane Society in Silverdale, WA in January at 11 years old and was placed in a foster home. Her foster family reported that she had a heart full of love and a real fondness for snuggling with her favorite people. Like many dogs who enter foster programs, Zowey thrived in her foster home and by April, was placed in an adoptive home. We are thrilled to hear that she'll live out her senior years surrounded by love, and proud to support the fantastic foster program run by Kitsap Humane Society!
