About us
The Penguin Publishing Group is one of the leading trade book publishers in the United States, comprised of imprints with a long and rich history dating back to the nineteenth century. Penguin Books was originally founded in the UK in 1935 by Allen Lane, who envisioned a collection of quality, attractive books affordable enough to be “bought as easily and casually as a packet of cigarettes.” A United States office opened in 1939, called Penguin Books Ltd. The group merged with Putnam Berkley to become Penguin Putnam, Inc. in 1996, Penguin Group (USA) in 2003, and Penguin Publishing Group in 2014. Today, Penguin Publishing Group is the largest division of Penguin Random House, Inc.

At Crestview Strategy "Unreasonable Hospitality" is a Mantra. In this book, the author makes a striking point: “Service is black and white, hospitality is color.” The black and white means you’re doing your job—competently, efficiently. But the color? That’s when you make people feel valued, appreciated, and even a little delighted by the interaction. And honestly, I couldn’t agree more. We can’t just tick the boxes and call it a day; we need to be mindful of how we deliver that service—whether we’re a small shop or a big government office, an emerging MICE destination, or a local café. As an economy, as a country, as a people, it’s time we add some color to our customer care. #CustomerServiceWeek

For Book Club at work, we recently read Same As Ever by Morgan Housel. His recent release that, in contrast to books that promise foresight on all the changes the world continues to undertake, focuses instead on everything that remains the same. In one of our sessions, we discussed this quote: “If you understand the math behind compounding, you realise the most important question is not “How can I earn the highest returns?” It’s “What are the best returns I can sustain for the longest period of time?” Little changes compounded for a long time create extraordinary changes. Same as ever.” A food for thought to ponder on over the long weekend. The Washington Post has called our book "riveting" and a "treasure trove" of detail: "Perpetually thin-skinned and often incapable of empathy, the version of Musk that sulks through the majority of 'Character Limit' offers a telling lesson in the cost of getting everything you want." https://lnkd.in/gHR6Epnv
