Dr. Sanjay Joshi, an expert in #advancedmanufacturing with an emphasis on Computer Aided Manufacturing and Design, and computational geometry applications in #additivemanufacturing, will teach AMD 527 this fall semester where the students will learn the basics of all categories of #additivemanufacturing processes along with the elements of the workflow from CAD to a finished part. Students will be exposed to hands on use of various AM software through assignments and class projects. #pennstate #AMD #pennstateamd

Meet Ilias Georgakopoulos-Soares, PhD, who joins more than 60 leading #PennState #AMD graduate faculty who are exploring existing and emerging multidisciplinary fields to advance #additivemanufacturing concepts and capabilities. The Georgakopoulos-Soares lab works on the development of surface materials that repulse bacterial growth and developing approaches for improved osteoblast cell growth in 3D printed alloys.
