Wednesday was SO MUCH FUN, ya’ll! Thank you to AWIN for inviting me to speak on generational diversity at this year’s Advancing Women in Nashville Summit. Special thanks to Nikki Gibson (she/her) (Board Chair for AWIN) for thinking of me for this panel and always being in my and people3, Inc.’s corners! Thank you to Executive Director, Eve Hutcherson, for putting on such a great summit and organizing us. I loved learning and discussing this fun topic of multi-generational leadership with Sarah Vakili and Allison Pearson–so much fun to participate and learn with you both! And as if that were not enough, I got to spend the day with my dear people3 colleague, Rachelle Froembling, and run into Rachel Joyce of Asurion and see the amazing Brittany N. Cole speak! Thank you for a great day, AWIN! #people3 #DEI #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #InclusionMatters #GenerationalDiversity

This past Friday, April 5th, our people3, Inc. Founder and CEO, Dr. Candace Warner, Ph.D. took the stage for a presentation at the inaugural Southeastern Diversity Conference (https://lnkd.in/ggRU6v6v), where attendees gathered to expand their understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Dr. Warner shared insights on the evolving landscape of DEI in the workplace and the backlash against many corporate and higher education DEI efforts. In her presentation, Dr. Warner highlighted her journey in learning as a sociologist and inclusion consultant in the diversity, compliance, and inclusion space for over twenty years. Dr. Warner also presented case studies that highlight the tangible impacts of well-implemented DEI strategies on organizational culture and performance. In addition to her presentation, Dr. Warner joined a DEI Professional Panel with fellow DEI colleagues Dr. Linda Wiley Bing, PhD, CDE, CRS (she/her/hers), Founder/CEO of Turning Point Leadership Group, Maria Morukian, President, MSM Global Consulting, and moderated by Dr. Alexandria White, Ed.D., Senior VP of Reboot Accel, to discuss the challenges of navigating hard conversations on identity, empathy, and the multifaceted nature of generational diversity and bias in the workplace. Attendees were inspired and reinvigorated by luminaries such as best-selling author and speaker, Stedman Graham, and Chairman/CEO of Stedman Graham & Associates, as well as, Chris Womack, Chairman and CEO of Southern Company, whose insights underscored the conference's pivotal role in shaping the future of DEI. People3 is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this vital conversation. Many thanks to Wesley Wells, Tori Bishop, and Dr. Alexandria White, Ed.D. for their fantastic efforts in creating such an amazing space for all of us who want to advance the work of expanding diversity, ensuring equity, and fostering inclusion–no matter what we call it–now or in the future. #people3 #DEI #DiversityEquityInclusion #Leadership #WorkplaceCulture #DEIstrategy #InclusiveCultures #SODLC24

Many of our clients have accidentally "stepped in it," as we like to say, around certain holidays or celebrations, such as planning a large cookout during Ramadan or hosting a company-wide meeting on Diwali. While unintended, these oversights can result in alienating employees who observe cultural and religious celebrations and holidays that are significant to them. It’s important for organizations to be mindful of events that are recognized by employees from all backgrounds to create a culture of belonging. people3, Inc.’s Inclusive Culture Calendar serves as a roadmap to help organizations strategically integrate important events into their organizational culture, fostering awareness and appreciation for the diverse backgrounds of team members that shape your organization. From cultural observances to awareness campaigns, the calendar includes a carefully curated list of holidays, cultural awareness celebrations, and national events that emphasize the celebration of diversity and inclusivity in your organization. LAST DAY TO REGISTER!! Join Dr. Candace Warner, Ph.D. and Sonal Schneider tomorrow, Wednesday, December 6th, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM (CST) to learn about how generational differences often become more pronounced when multiple generations interact within a workplace. In the current U.S. workforce, there are four…sometimes five generations working together within an organization. With Gen Z’s entrance into the workforce, Millennials taking on leadership roles, and Baby Boomers phasing into retirement, addressing these generational shifts is increasingly important for organizations. To gain insight into effectively bridging generational divides, join the people3 team for our public workshop “From Boomers to Zoomers: Uniting Generations for Success in the Workplace” by registering here: https://lnkd.in/eWbkwJ_P #people3 #DEI #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #GenerationalDiversity #InclusionMatters
