About us

We’re on a mission. We provide menstrual health products to individuals while educating and advocating to end the stigma of menstruation. The Period Project is headquartered in Greenville, SC. We’re changing the world one community at a time by creating awareness and delivering menstrual health products to those in need in the tri-state area. We are part of a worldwide movement of similarly-focused NGOs and are accelerating the momentum by incubating ideas and exchanging mutual aid.

📢 Exciting News from The Period Project! We are thrilled to introduce our new Executive Director, Pamela B. Askew! 🎉 Pamela brings over 20 years of experience in operations, finance, and event management, most recently serving as Operations Manager for the ACLU of South Carolina. Her extensive background in nonprofit leadership, including roles at the United Way of Greenville County and Jack and Jill of America, Inc., makes her a perfect fit for guiding our mission forward. Pamela's commitment to community service is evident through her involvement in numerous organizations such as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. We are confident that her leadership will continue to drive positive change for menstrual equity in South Carolina. As we welcome Pamela, we also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Karen Dudley-Culbreath, who has moved on to a new opportunity in Arkansas.
