The Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN) at University of Oxford has a position available for Postdoctoral Researcher in Immunotherapy and Neuropathic pain: We are looking for an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to employ high-dimensional cytometry and cutting-edge molecular detection assays in combination with in vivo models and patient samples to determine the cellular and molecular immune mechanisms underlying neuropathic pain caused by anti-GD2 antibodies. Anti-GD2 immunotherapy has transformed survival rates in children with high-risk neuroblastoma. However, treatment efficacy is limited by the excruciating pain experienced by patients during drug delivery. You will join a multi-disciplinary team led by UKRI Future Leaders Fellow Dr. Alexander Davies within the welcoming Neural Injury group in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford, UK, which brings together more than 30 clinicians and researchers in the study of neuropathic pain. You will be supported by experts in neurological biomarker detection, neuroblastoma treatment, and antibody engineering via our partners at the University of Southampton. This Medical Research Foundation-funded project provides the ideal opportunity for a preclinical researcher to gain experience leading an interdisciplinary project with strong clinical translation. Candidates with a background in either neuroscience or immunology are welcome to apply. For further details on the responsibilities and selection criteria, as well as further information about the university and how to apply: https://loom.ly/4sO2vss For general enquiries about the project, or the host laboratory, please contact: alexander.davies@ndcn.ox.ac.uk
