Four Truths - this (and similar exercises) are good as starters to help teams think broader about the world in which they operate. It's especially great when you break into small groups and have each group work on a different quadrant (and even rotate groups), in order to get different perspectives. 2. Ways to Grow - i've found this useful when thinking about where and how companies and teams invest in near, medium and long term products & services. A little more on my Experience Loop framework to explain the 3 accelerants that contribute the most to successful product & brand experiences. Success Momentum is something that changed the way I thought of how people perceive or "feel" whether they are / are not successful (not just "satisfied"). From what I've seen over my career, it's success, and not merely satisfaction, that is a better indicator of engagement and retention than anything else. The Experience Loop concept to me is about that momentum - it's a strategic framework that uses the concept of Success Momentum to design products and brands focused on the realization, maximization and amplification of customer value and success. I've noticed great products and brands create this momentum by doing these three things really well: 1. Realization: Help customers get to first value (the "aha" moment) as quickly as possible so they can realize and extract its value to them. 2. Adoption: Drive Success Momentum to begin to accelerate / drive people deeper into the experience so they begin to adopt it and maximize its benefits. 3. Amplification: Provide increasing value over time so that the more customers use the product, the more value (and benefit) they and others derive from it. --- Even though I haven't explicitly designed experiences based on this it's something that I have started to formalize into how I approach this type of work. Someone asked me why I use job stories and jobs mapping vs. simply user stories. Here's an example of why context is important - from my Jobs Creation Playbook... One thing I like to think about is - what's the impact of something NOT happening or a job NOT being fulfilled as a way to think about value not delivered or missed opportunity cost. I like working "impact" in as an exercise so that teams can really think about and articulate those impacts, and what can happen if that context is missing. For example, without the jobs context, in the second slide the real time announcements story might have been completely missed. #jobstobedone #jobsstories #jobsmapping #agilejobsstories #jtbd
