Meet Pudge: The newest PFI staff pup! Savonne Caughey, PFI Senior Director of Advocacy and Government Relations, shares lessons learned since she adopted Pudge this summer, including how to puppy-proof, early veterinary care, puppy nutrition and exercise, potty training, and self-care.

PFI 2025-2026 Board Officers have been selected, with Simmons Pet Food President Scott Salmon as our newly elected Chair. At last week's annual meeting, PFI members came together to hear from The Center for Food Integrity's Charlie Arnot about the prevalence of misinformation and the actions that companies can take to combat it while building trust among consumers. Attendees also heard from PFI staff members about our 2024 work and accomplishments for the pet food industry. The meeting kicked off with a reception for all attendees at Bar K, where we were able to connect and discuss industry matters in a less formal setting.

PFI is hosting a new webinar series on Export and Food Safety! This three-part series will provide dog and cat food companies with essential tools to develop a successful international marketing strategy and food safety information. Attendees will gain practical knowledge on export fundamentals to expand their products globally. Participants will receive a PFI training certificate.
