PFNonwovens USA recently hosted its annual Health & Wellness Fair, providing team members the chance to engage directly with preventative care service providers and other essential benefit plan companies for useful information. Additionally, employees were offered free biometric health screenings. The event encouraged everyone to be their very own best health advocates and make good active choices when it comes to healthy living!
The event also featured games, prizes, and nutritious snacks.

Did you know that PFNonwovens utilizes Reicofil Spunbond and SMS nonwoven production lines, featuring the advanced R5 technology? The spunlaid process involves melting polymer granules with an extruder, then feeding the molten resin into spin packs with distribution channels and a spinneret full of capillaries. As the molten polymer exits, it forms filaments that are elongated and cooled by high-velocity air. These filaments mix and lay down on a conveyer belt, creating a web of continuous fibers. This initial web is weak and is later consolidated through various bonding methods like mechanical, air-through, or chemical bonding to form a cohesive structure fit for slitting and winding. Multiple spunbond or meltblow beams can be combined to enhance productivity and create diverse structures. Ultimately, the line configuration, composition, and spinning and bonding processes determine the characteristics of the final nonwoven products, which are valued for their versatility, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Commonly made from polypropylene, polyethylene, or polyesters, these nonwovens are used in hygiene products, medical fabrics, geotextiles, filtration, and more.
