Farewell "PGATE" 🥹🥳 Today we said goodbye to PGA TOUR Entertainment with a ceremonial and celebratory "PGATE Day". Our content production has operated out of this building in St. Augustine, FL since 1997, and will now move into PGA TOUR Studios, adjacent to our Global Home in Ponte Vedra Beach. There is plenty to look forward to as we prepare to "flip the switch" at Studios, our state-of-the-art, 165,000-square-foot new home. But today, we reflected on great times of the past with photos, trivia, stories and a good ol' fashioned pizza party.

Stephen Siller, a dedicated firefighter assigned to Brooklyn’s Squad 1, had just finished his shift on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. The youngest of seven children, Siller was on his way to play golf with his brothers when he got word that a plane had hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Siller headed immediately to the entrance to the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel, but it had already been closed off for security purposes. Undeterred, he then strapped 60 pounds of gear to his back and ran on foot through the tunnel to assist other first responders at the Twin Towers. Siller gave his life that day while saving others. He was a devoted family man, leaving behind a wife and five children. In Siller’s memory, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation was formed in 2002. The organization strives to “do good” by making a positive and lasting impact in the lives of others. Founded by Siller’s older brother, Frank, the foundation has established many worthwhile programs to benefit our nation’s most deserving heroes. Tunnel to Towers builds specially adapted smart homes for injured veterans, pays off mortgages for families of first responders who have been killed in the line of duty, and builds homes for Gold Star Families whose loved ones have made the ultimate sacrifice serving our country. “My parents had seven kids,” said Frank Siller. “We were very poor, but we were never too poor to do something good for our neighbors. After Sept. 11, so many people were there for our family. It lifts you to know you’re not alone and that people care and are praying for you." PGA TOUR player Taylor Montgomery shares that same passion and commitment for supporting our service men and women. Montgomery had the opportunity to donate $75,000 to Tunnel to Towers, thanks to his winnings in the RSM US LLP Birdies Fore Love competition.

Born in Long Beach, California, Patrick Cantlay began to play golf at 3 years old. At 7, he began to work with his lifelong coach, Jamie Mulligan, at Virginia Country Club. At 10, he began to play on the Southern California PGA Junior Tour. Today, Cantlay is an eight-time winner on the PGA TOUR. As a way to give back, the 2019 FedExCup Champion started the Patrick Cantlay Foundation to support junior golf and programs assisting and advocating on behalf of first responders. RSM US LLP shows their celebration of golf with a donation to Cantlay's foundation supporting the PGA Junior Tour and the Southern California PGA Foundation’s Junior Golf Grant Program.
