NEWS — On Maryland report card, more than 72% of PGCPS schools received among the three highest ratings of 3, 4 and 5-star, an increase from last year. Nearly 75% of schools saw gains in academic achievement , including in elementary and middle school math. And when compared to the state average, more of our schools gained a star from last year, while fewer schools lost a star.

ICYMI: Students will have more access to mental health and wellness resources this school year thanks to a $25 million grant from the Maryland Community Health Resources Commission! In partnership with 18 organizations, the district will strengthen behavioral health services to support students' emotional and academic success. These partner organizations will supplement PGCPS counselors, psychologists, and social workers, bridging gaps in support with a focus on crisis intervention, wellness education and greater access to professional care.
