PharmaJet is proud to contribute to the polio eradication effort! Needle-free can improve coverage rates, reduce costs, and enable house-to-house campaigns!
I was delighted to be invited to present at the 23rd Annual Consultation between the Global Polio Eradication Initiative and Polio Vaccine Manufacturers this week. PharmaJet presented the latest data from a USAID-funded study in Nigeria demonstrating needle-free Tropis®ID as a strategic eradication tool that can improve polio vaccine (IPV) coverage and reduce total immunization costs. Many thanks to the organizers and attendees for a very informative session. #needlefree, #endpolio, #worldpolioday

We are pleased to announce the results of the implementation study for routine polio immunization with Tropis ID in Nigeria. Compared to the standard of care (full dose needle and syringe IM delivery), Tropis delivered 11.2% higher vaccination coverage with the second dose, up to 47% total immunization cost savings and was preferred by 95% of healthcare workers! The PharmaJet Team was invited to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia last week to conduct a workshop on novel vaccine delivery with a focus on how needle-free intradermal delivery can harness the full power of the immune system. We presented the results from a recent USAID-funded study in Nigeria showing how intradermal delivery of IPV with Tropis® ID can expand coverage and reduce total routine immunization costs. Many thanks to our partner, Etmedix, and to the immunization experts from USAID, CHAI, Ethiopian Medical Association (EMA), Ethiopian Midwives Association (EMWA), Ministry of Health, JSI, PATH, WHO, and Africa CDC who attended the workshop.

On Sept 13, PharmJet and partners (Jhpiego, PATH, Sydani Group, and Nigerian Public Health Development Agency (NPHCDA) met with experts in Abuja to disseminate results from a USAID-funded study conducted in Nigeria. The study results were positive across the board indicating that needle-free delivery of inactivated polio vaccine with Tropis is effective at increasing coverage, decreasing program costs, and is scalable for routine immunization use. Many thanks to USAID and to our partners for enabling this level of scientific rigor! https://lnkd.in/gfDHhDjj #needlefree, #polio, #vaccinehesitation, #polioeradication, #mpox, #nigeria, #NPHCDA, #USAID
