Your dream job loses its worth if it costs you your health, happiness, and peace of mind. It was a wake up call to me at one point point in my life. My workaholic nature mixed with a toxic work environment mentally affected me and my closest relationships. No position—regardless of the salary or perks—should compromise: 1. Your Wellbeing 2. Relationships 3. Personal Development 15 signs of a healthy environment: ✔️Diversity and differences are valued ✔️Health and wellbeing are a true priority ✔️Efforts, big and small, are recognized ✔️Flexibility is standard, not an extra perk ✔️Leaders act with integrity and accountability ✔️Trust is given; micromanagement is absent ✔️Decisions are made with transparency ✔️Learning opportunities are available without undue pressure ✔️You feel respected, heard, and clear on expectations ✔️The company invests in your growth and future ✔️Teamwork is encouraged over competition ✔️Speaking up is safe, without fear of backlash ✔️Overtime is the exception, not the norm ✔️Issues are resolved openly and fairly ✔️Creativity and ideas are welcomed Remember: Mental health is important to focus on first. The job market is the toughest it's been in a very long time. PharmaPath Consulting

🚩A red alert to all hiring managers 🚩 If you already have a strong internal candidate in mind, please think twice before posting the job publicly. It's tough for job seekers to get excited about a role that's already likely filled. People who are unemployed are working hard to be able to support their families. Don't waste their time on a process that had no chance of getting them a job anyways. Stop giving false hope, start treating jobseekers with respect and value their time. It's a blessing and not a curse, when someone applies to a job, even if they're not the candidate you were looking for. Sincerely, #Alljobseekers ------------------------- PharmaPath Consulting

Dear Biotech companies, Employees don't need ping pong tables or beer fridges at work. 🙅♂️🙅♀️ Or to be micromanaged to the ground...and given pizza/cookies at the end of the week at the office. Employees need flexibility to do their best work and enjoy life. For instance, working remotely. 🙋♂️🙋♀️ Please offer trust, not toys and diabetes inducing nonsense. 🙌 Sincerely, #TheAnnoyedEmployee --------------------------------------------------------------- PharmaPath Consulting #worklifebalance #workhardrewardhard #wfh

Why Hiring Fresh Grads is a Good Idea Its fellowship hiring season so a friendly reminder to all the hiring managers and fellowship hiring staff - In today's competitive job market, people tend to forget about the advantages of bringing in recent graduates who haven't yet entered the workforce due to "lack of 30 years+ of experience." These graduates offer a unique blend of qualities and viewpoints that can be a significant asset to organizations. I listed a few below here! 1️⃣ Fresh Perspective and Idea Recent graduates often come with fresh ideas and a different way of looking at things, which can infuse innovation into established processes. Their exposure to the latest trends and technologies equips them with valuable insights to navigate the ever-changing business world. 2️⃣ Enthusiasm, Inquisitiveness, and Adaptability Recent graduates are known for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and ability to adapt. They have a strong desire to learn and explore new experiences, making them quick learners and highly trainable assets. 3️⃣ Cost-Efficiency and Long-Term Investment Hiring recent graduates without work experience can be a cost-effective solution, especially for entry-level positions, allowing organizations to use their resources efficiently. Investing in their growth from the beginning not only fosters long-term loyalty but also establishes a pipeline of future leaders within the organization. 4️⃣ Diverse Perspectives and Inclusive Workforce Bringing in recent graduates contributes to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. Their varied backgrounds, educational experiences, and fresh perspectives add diversity to the organization, fostering creativity, driving innovation, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. 5️⃣ Cultivating a Dynamic Learning Culture Recent graduates help nurture a dynamic learning culture by eagerly learning from experienced colleagues and embracing mentorship. This mutually beneficial relationship allows seasoned employees to share their knowledge while recent graduates bring energy and fresh ideas, promoting continuous growth for the entire workforce. Recent graduates without prior work experience offer significant potential to organizations. Their fresh perspectives, adaptability, and thirst for knowledge drive organizational success and growth. By investing in them, companies cultivate a vibrant workforce ready to tackle future challenges. Any points I missed? I’m sure there’s a lot more... Out with the old and in with the new in my opinion. Reach out to PharmaPath Consulting if you need help breaking in. #newjobs #careercoach #biotech

Job applications only need 2 buttons: 1. "Upload Resume" 2. "Submit" No more. Stop making it a chore. No one has time for 30-minute questionnaires on useless topics. Stop asking applicants to re-enter information that is already on the resume. Making applicants jump through hoops makes you and your company look inefficient. Want to weed out unqualified people? READ the applicants resume. It's not that hard. Here's the truth: Complicated processes don't filter better candidates; they turn away great ones and result in profit loss inevitably. To Every Recruiter Out There, PLEASE stop turning down experienced life science degree holders like PharmDs, PhDs, MDs, and others, for entry-level roles due to "lack of job experience." I know its hiring season so I’ll say it once more. We've spent years undergoing rigorous academic and practical training, mastering clinical research, medical writing, evidence based research, and project management. We’ve taken on unpaid internships, long shifts, and full time rotations while excelling in strenuous academia at the same time—all for a chance to bring our skills to your team. I assure you we are READY and more than QUALIFIED. Sincerely, The Annoyed Job Applicant --------------- PharmaPath Consulting #jobsearch #careerdevelopment #biotechjobs

It really is not hard to make an environment that priorities the well-being of employees. These companies just chose to not do it because their margins will decrease. Retail pharmacy is dying slowly everyday. pretty soon clinical pharmacy will follow the same route.
