Today, on October 10, 2024, PHILLIPS is thrilled to join #Virginians across the state in the eighth annual Crunch Heard ‘Round the Commonwealth! As part of Virginia Farm to School Week, we’re taking a moment to appreciate our #localvirginiafarmers and the incredible benefits of farm-to-school programs by taking a bite out of a fresh, Virginia grown apple! In 2023, PHILLIPS was awarded the Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grant from the USDA , which provided opportunities for our students to learn more about nutrition and agriculture through hands-on experiences, and more equitable access to healthy, nutritious food.
