This week, we hosted @WellsFargo with their #WelcomeHome initiative! We sincerely thank the Wells Fargo team for volunteering with us to uplift the #WestFarms community. The event consisted of 5 volunteer stations: A Mural Painting led by Bronx-based artist Laura Alvarez. This was designed to beautify the community and portray it as a beacon of change and opportunity. Garden Creation, where volunteers assembled flower beds and planted tulips for our Early Childhood scholars to enjoy during the spring. Free Farmer's Market, with the support of FoodStream Network, we provided 150 bags of fresh produce to community members. Work Readiness Support, where our Career Network Building Services participants received mock interviews to prepare them for the next stage of their professional journey. Volunteers also reviewed their resumes and offered tips on how to improve them. Career Starter Kits, volunteers put together first-day work bags filled with valuable items and advice! We would also like to send a special thanks to Office of The Bronx Borough President and the office of Senator Luis Sepulveda for your unwavering support and continued partnership. We are so grateful for your leadership and commitment to the Bronx. Thank you to all the volunteers, #Phipps staff, and community members who joined us! Together, we build thriving communities. Until next time! #TogetherWeThrive #PhippsPride
