💃 NOW OPEN: PhxArt‘s first major investigation into the formation of our renowned fashion collection. The Collection: Greatest Fits (Vol.1): The Art of Archiving Fashion features more than 80 garments and accessories that illuminate the history and influence of PhxArt’s fashion collections. Presented in the Museum’s newly named Kelly Ellman Fashion Galleries, it will be the first in the Museum’s multi-part Greatest Fits series, which will exhibit the vastness of the Museum’s 9,000-object fashion collection. On Tuesday night, there was an exclusive VIP opening celebration of The Collection: Greatest Fits (Vol.1): The Art of Archiving Fashion, with Phoenix Art Museum’s Circles of Support and Arizona Costume Institute (@azcostumeinstitute.) Then later that evening there was an additional opening just for general members. If you are interested in learning more about the perks of becoming a PhxArt member which gives you exclusive access to exhibition openings such as this one, visit: https://lnkd.in/g7JDR6dc The Collection: Greatest Fits (Vol. 1): The Art of Archiving Fashion is organized by Phoenix Art Museum and curated by Helen Jean, the Jacquie Dorrance Curator of Fashion Design at Phoenix Art Museum, with Catherine Wise, the Hirabayashi Intern in Fashion Design. 👏 It was a pleasure to host Local First Arizona's Member Appreciation Night! We we were inspired by the powerful words from Local First Arizona CEO Kimber Lanning and VP of Business Development Thomas Barr. Anthony Spinato shared Spinato's Pizzeria's famous "secret sauce". And of course remarks from our very own, Jeremy Mikolajczak. Thank you to everyone who attended and we hope you visit again soon!
