This black-footed ferret day we are excited to share we have had another successful black-footed ferret (or BFF) breeding season this year! The work being done at the Arthur L. and Elaine V. Johnson Foundation Black-footed Ferret Breeding Center is vital for the conservation of this endangered species. With seven ferret moms caring for 25 kits, we and our conservation partners are working hard to secure the future of this species. Whether these kits are released into the wild or continue in the breeding program, they will play a crucial role in helping to restore the black-footed ferret population in North America.

After two weeks and nearly 10,000 votes, the names of our lion cubs have been selected! It was a tight race that came down to the wire, however we are proud to introduce AZIZI and JASIRI! Azizi's fur is lighter, while Jasiri is the darker of the two. The playful cubs will be out in their habitat next month and we cannot wait for you to meet them. Thank you for your votes!
