New Beginnings and Dignity in Life's Journey

About us

Our Core Values: Our written core values reflect, in words, what is truly important to us as an organization. In our Mission we highlight the pillars of this culture: Compassion, Honesty and Patience. These descriptive words define our culture. Also in our DNA, we find these valuable qualities… Responsibility – We take full responsibility for our actions. Respect – We treat each other and those we serve with equal and high-level respect. Excellence – We strive to exceed the expectations standard in our industry – giving plus one service. Empathy – In all that we do, we ask, “What would I want if it were me?” Potential – We strive to help everyone reach their full potential in life. Courage – With an optimistic and brave heart we face each challenge, celebrating successes and viewing failures as opportunities to grow. Community – We are active participants in our communities…reaching out to be good neighbors. Our Story The story of the legend of the phoenix bird is a story of ever-changing growth and rebirth. The beautiful mythical creature reflected the lights and colors of the morning sunrise – – always chasing the light and capturing all that was beautiful. It is a symbol of constant rebirth, renewal and fresh starts. It is not a story of ashes but rather of beauty and upward thinking…(Isaiah 61:3). Our energy is focused on improving quality of life, perpetuating positive attitudes and embracing the challenges life places before us with grace, respect and compassion. Our catalyst to consistently rise to new heights is a combination of perpetual learning, measurement of success, looking through the eyes of those we serve and listening with the heart which causes us to pause and discover what is really important in each situation. Within the listening and the application of learning we find new beginnings. …We are Phoenix Home Care.

  • Meet Laura, a Speech Language Pathologist from our Independence, MO region! We asked Laura, “What gives you the passion to do what you do?” She replied, “I love caring for my patients, problem solving each individual patient and seeing their appreciation for the progress they have made regaining a skill that they had lost or was significantly impaired.” We also asked her, “Why Home Care & Why Phoenix?” Laura answered ”I love working for a smaller company that treats me as a family member and not just another employee or number. I find that the staff and therapists at PHC truly go above and beyond to provide the best care to their patients. Everyone really cares! I love that PHC works hard to let their employees how much they are truly appreciated. You don’t find that everywhere.” In her spare time, Laura enjoys live music, paddle boarding, walking her dogs, Chiefs football, and traveling. She tells us she was recently remarried, and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their 5 children, who keep her constantly busy and "on her toes!" Laura has worked in home care for 21 years. She has been providing outstanding care with our team at Phoenix for a year and a half now. Her experience and passion for each client truly adds to the quality of care we strive to provide each day. Thank you for all you do, Laura!
