October is Emotional Wellness Month, and we want to remind you that a cancer diagnosis can impact not only your physical health but also your mental well-being. Feelings of anxiety, distress, and loneliness are common, affecting both patients and their loved ones during and after treatment. Recognizing these emotions is the first step to getting the help you need. Let’s continue to destigmatize mental health conversations, creating a safe, supportive space for everyone to share and heal. 💙 socialwork@piedmontcancerinstitute.com #EmotionalWellnessMonth #MentalHealthMatters #CancerCare

Breast cancer doesn't discriminate - it affects everyone. Approximately one out of every 100 breast cancer cases in the U.S. is diagnosed in a man. However, some men still hesitate to seek care due to embarrassment or disbelief that they could be affected. Don't let stigma or doubt hold you back! Watch out for symptoms such as: Presence of a lump or swelling in the breast. 🔹Redness or flaky skin on the breast. 🔹Skin irritation or dimpling. 🔹Nipple discharge. 🔹Nipple changes, like pulling in or experiencing pain. If you have any concerns, don't hesitate - consult your doctor. Diagnosed? https://lnkd.in/ee5FDRmn #BreastCancer #ItCanHappenToMenToo

On National Mammography Day, we raise awareness about the critical role of mammograms in breast cancer screening. Mammography helps save lives by detecting breast cancer at its earliest, most treatable stage. So share this message, schedule your mammogram, and inform others to do the same. 💕🎗️ #NationalMammographyDay #EarlyDetectionSavesLives

This Healthy Lung Month, take charge of your lung health and reduce your risk of cancer. 🚭 Quitting smoking is the most effective way to lower your cancer risk, but regular exercise, staying hydrated, and avoiding pollutants also make a big difference. Don’t skip your annual check-ups and consider lung cancer screenings if you're at risk. #HealthyLungMonth #LungCancerAwareness #BreatheEasy

Timely and reliable access for those with serious illnesses. #cancer
🎉 The patient drug delivery bill (aka Stark fix, HR 5526) that Community Oncology Alliance has been fighting so hard for since early last year, passed the U.S. House of Representatives yesterday! The Seniors’ Access to Critical Medications Act will ensure that patients with #cancer and other serious diseases have timely access to the oral #oncology medications they need, whether delivered, couriered, or picked up by a family member or caregiver. The United States Senate must now continue the momentum by advancing the companion bill, S.3458. The Senate has the power to ensure that no #patient is left behind due to a misinterpreted regulation restricting access to necessary treatments. 👏 Let’s 👏 Get 👏 This 👏 Done! 👏
