We’re excited to announce the completion of an $11 million equipment upgrade at the John B. Amos Cancer Center at Piedmont Columbus, made possible by the generous support of our community. The new additions, including three linear accelerators, an AI-assisted CT scanner, and a six-degree robotic system, enhance our leading cancer care services, providing greater access to personalized, high-quality treatment close to home.

Piedmont Augusta is now the first in its area to offer Aquablation, a groundbreaking, minimally invasive treatment for an enlarged prostate (BPH). This advanced procedure uses a heat-free waterjet, guided by cutting-edge robotic technology, to precisely remove excess prostate tissue without the need for any incisions. The benefits include quicker recovery, fewer side effects, and significantly improved patient outcomes. By bringing this innovative treatment to the Augusta community, we’re committed to ensuring high-quality care is accessible throughout the state of Georgia.
