With a mission to end homelessness, Pine Street Inn is New England's leading provider of housing, shelter, street outreach and job training to homeless individuals in Greater Boston. Pine Street Inn welcomes nearly 2,000 homeless individuals daily to provide short- and long-term solutions so that they can begin the journey out of homelessness and into permanent housing. Our vision is to help individuals gain stability and their highest level of independence by offering a wide range of services for every person who turns to Pine Street for help.

November is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Month. Many Massachusetts residents face the challenges that come with food insecurity and homelessness every day. Pine Street works with City of Boston, state and federal agencies and like-minded partners to move people off the street, out of shelter and back to a home and community.

The recent Pine Street “Bake-Off” featured an apple cake challenge! This fun competition helped our iCater Boston trainees build confidence for their culinary careers. Recently, Liberty Mutual Insurance volunteers assembled 1,000 snack bags for Pine Street shelter guests and individuals living on the street. The team also made Welcome Home Baskets with household essentials to make new Pine Street tenants feel at home. We are grateful for your phenomenal partnership! #LibertyTorchbearers

We continue to celebrate Lyndia Downie's 40th anniversary at Pine Street Inn! Under her leadership, Pine Street has expanded its permanent housing, now with 38 residences in Greater Boston and more to come!
