We’re honored to have partnered with The Industry LA to build the set for the production of The Comet/Poppea, which took place at WAREHOUSE at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA | The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles last month. Presented on a turntable divided in two halves, these worlds unfold simultaneously, with the stage’s rotation creating a visual and sonic spiral for audiences. Our creative fabrication team meticulously worked through all of the fine details of each set. From The Industry: “The work juxtaposes Claudio Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea (The Coronation of Poppea), an Italian opera from 1643 unfolding among the social divisions of ancient Rome; and the world premiere of The Comet, based on the 1920 science-fiction short story by sociologist and Pan-Africanist civil rights activist W.E.B. Du Bois. On the heels of Lewis Hamilton's British Grand Prix victory last weekend, we're reminiscing about the donuts he pulled in front of the Empire State Building last month. We had the opportunity to work with VTProDesign to create Pit Stops of all sizes, including recreations of mini Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team cars, which we did utilizing our 3D Print capabilities.
Blending tech and storytelling on a grand scale was a dream come true. Partnering with @WhatsApp and @MercedesAMGF1, we transformed the Empire State Building with stunning projection mapping. Inside, we created a vibrant lobby installation that drew visitors into the experience, while the observation deck offered immersive views, and the ground level came alive with an engaging pit stop installation. We worked closely with PINK SPARROW and their partner Scenester Projects to create an extraordinary experience for the NBA Finals, proudly presented by YouTube. We had a great time working with VTProDesign in support of the WhatsApp pit stop at the Empire State Building. This collaboration involved fabricating and installing two window sets and a sidewalk "Pit Stop". The setup resembled a diorama-style pit stop, designed for small-scale race cars and a vibrant green LED cityscape adorned the back wall. The sidewalk "pit stop" along with a rooftop photo moment was built to engage with guests and capture memorable shots. Thrilled to have had a part in this now award-winning project, partnering with High Contrast LLC and many others! We took a basic food truck, cut a giant hole in the side, and swapped metal with 88 LED video tiles to bring the campaign to a whole new level.
Last year, we teamed up with UPS and The UPS Store to bring small businesses to Times Square with a unique out-of-home campaign featuring underrepresented businesses that proudly choose UPS. The campaign is bringing home 2 wins from the OAAA OBIE Awards, recognizing creative in the out-of-home space. UPS / The UPS Store “Under The Shield” is the winner in “Industry - Consumer Services” together with ClearChannelOutdoor. UPS / The UPS Store “Under The Shield” placed silver in “Specialty - 3D Anamorphic Digital.” And we couldn’t do it without BCN Visuals | 3D Billboards , High Contrast LLC and Shomi Patwary.
