🎗️ Odds are, you know someone who has been affected by cancer. That is why you care about helping kids with cancer and their families. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout the month, you will see yellow ribbons on social media, in grocery stores, or at events in your local community. It can be easy to ignore given the sheer amount of messaging we experience daily. We encourage you to lean in. Stop and read the sign, stop scrolling on the post to read about a child in your community who has been affected, and follow childhood cancer charities like Pinky Swear Foundation to learn more. If you already know that you want to help during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, consider fundraising! It can be a Facebook Fundraiser, in-person bake sale, car wash, or whatever fits your life the best. Your impact this month will also go TWICE as far for families facing childhood cancer. Thanks to a generous match by E.A. Sween, every dollar raised will be matched up to $25,000. https://lnkd.in/gRWqRubJ Together, we can say ‘yes’ to more families facing childhood cancer. #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth #PinkySwearFoundation #HelpingKidswithCancer #September #Fundraising #ChildhoodCancerCharity #PediatricCancer

About us
Childhood Cancer Changes Everything Every time a family hears the words "your child has cancer," they are forced to make hard decisions. They ask themselves: "Do I keep working while having to take time off for treatments and hospital stays? If I quit my job, will we survive financially?" Medical bills can be delayed, but rent is due, bills still come, and food is a necessity. Families facing childhood cancer need help with everyday expenses. Pinky Swear Foundation provides financial support for transportation, food, and housing so families can focus on what matters most - their child.

Childhood cancer is horrible. Knowing how to help can be hard, but sharing the story is an amazing way to help. By sharing the story, more people will understand the financial need families have during a childhood cancer diagnosis. Together, we can provide more and more families with financial payments for everyday expenses like housing, food, and transportation. We don't plan on stopping until cancer is cured. We are keeping the promise for Mitch! Thanks, HandsOn Twin Cities. 💙 #PinkySwearFoundation #HelpingKidswithCancer #ChildhoodCancerAwareness
Pinky Swear Foundation is dedicated to supporting kids with cancer and their families through both financial and emotional assistance. Founded in memory of nine-year-old Mitch Chepokas, who made a pinky swear promise with his father to help children with cancer, the organization continues to honor that commitment. Mitch’s selfless act of giving his savings to kids on the pediatric oncology floor at the hospital where he stayed inspired the mission that lives on today. Guided by compassion, collaboration, and celebration, Pinky Swear creates a welcoming space for families impacted by childhood cancer, ensuring they can focus on their child's care without the burden of everyday expenses like housing, food, and transportation. Kaylee has spent over a year away from daycare, to which her parents say she now prefers to be alone. Alyssa also mentioned how lonely having a child with cancer is. People don't like talking about it. She said some people do not want to look at Kaylee because her eye surgeries and chemotherapy have left her looking different. Childhood cancer is so unfair. Consider making a difference for families like Kaylee's by making a donation today. https://hubs.ly/Q02Rz82x0. “Though it might not seem like it, the help we have received from Pinky Swear makes a difference,” she said. “More than you will ever know.” #AllStarKaylee #leukemia #PhiladelphiaChromosome #ChildhoodCancerAwareness #HelpingKidswithCancer #PinkySwearFoundation
