#MyPiperStory Charlie Prenaveau began flying in 2021 and quickly fell in love with aviation. He earned his PPL, instrument, and commercial ratings in a Piper Warrior. He went on to complete his CFI and CFII and is working on his multi engine add-on in a Seminole. Last year, Charlie took a big step and bought his own 1982 Piper Tomahawk and has already put over 300 hours on it. "The Tomahawk has been perfect for time building as I work toward my long-term goal of becoming an airline pilot. The dream is to one day own a brand-new Piper M350!" Recently, Charlie performed a special flight in his Tomahawk to the PIPER waypoint near Melbourne, Florida in honor of both his plane and his girlfriend Piper! "One of the best parts of owning the Tomahawk is teaching my girlfriend, Piper Fecteau, how to fly. She’s been having a blast learning in the same plane! When I saw the IFR waypoint “PIPER,” I couldn’t resist flying a hold there and then spelling out “PIPER” in the sky: a tribute to both Piper Aircraft and my girlfriend."

There’s a reason the Seminole is one of the most recognizable multi-engine trainers across the globe. With its tried-and-true construction, reliable Lycoming engines, stable handling capabilities, and standard Garmin G1000® NXi flight deck, the Seminole exceeds expectations with its reliability, durability and value. When it comes to multi-engine trainers, the Seminole stands in a class all its own.

Bryce Colangelo has worked at Piper in Vero Beach for four years and is the proud owner of a vintage 1961 Piper Colt. "Working at Piper Aircraft has afforded me the opportunity of owning a 1961 Colt and earning my private pilot’s license. I celebrated passing my checkride by flying up to Lock Haven, PA for the Sentimental Journey Fly-In. It’s a pleasure helping keep Mr. Piper’s dream alive!" #MyPiperStory

#ThrowbackThursday The Piper PA-16 Clipper, a variation of the PA-15 Vagabond, was designed to seat four people. It featured an extra wing tank, additional doors, and was powered by a Lycoming O-235 engine. First flown in 1947, the Clipper was produced for just one model year in 1949. After that, enhancements such as wing flaps and larger fuel tanks were introduced, leading to the development of the PA-20 Pacer. Notably, the Clipper was also compatible with floats, expanding its utility for various flying conditions. As of 2018, over 300 Clippers were still in operation in the United States, demonstrating its lasting appeal and reliability among pilots.
